This qualifies the graduate to apply to take the National Certification Exam for Massage and Bodywork in the United States.  Prerequisite: Essentials of Massage & Bodywork.

ADVANCED CIRCULATORY MASSAGE
Expand your essentials circulatory recipe with exciting new techniques.

DEEP TISSUE SCULPTING
Solidify your technique and body mechanics as you learn applications to help most common problem areas: the torso, pelvic girdle, 
neck and shoulders. Continue to develop somatic skills.

SENSORY REPATTERNING
Achieve a deeper understanding of the connection between motion and emotion and learn a full body, one hour session of this 
kinesthetic bodywork art based on the work of Milton Trager.

ASAIN HEALING ARTS
Get a taste of a variety of Asian modalities: Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Tui Na, Gwa Shaw and Jin Shin.  Learn about the energetic 
paradigm on which they are based.

PHYSIOLOGY, PATHOLOGY AND PROTOCOL -  A&B
This course covers the main systems of the body and their associated pathologies.  Examination of the circulatory, digestive, 
respiratory, endocrine, reproductive, urinary and nervous systems including appropriate massage modalities and contraindications.

CLIENT CENTERED COMMUNICATION 1&2
This class focuses on the relationship between the client and  the body therapist and other counseling modalities.  We will explore communication skills for the professional body therapist.

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY
Prerequisite: Essentials, Deep Tissue Sculpting, Advanced Circulatory Massage Applications
This course covers specific assessment and remediation techniques which naturally integrate with the therapeutic value of massage in all 
modalities.  Included are placatory skills for specific muscles, tendons, ligaments, Trigger Points ( TP) and lesions, neuromuscular 
theory, therapeutic techniques and development of three half hour sessions for shoulder, neck and back.

ANATOMY FOR BODYWORKERS (Fee: $950USD)
A course in anatomy focusing on the musculo-skelatal system designed especially for the CIHCA student and bodyworker; 
accompanied by Applied Studies, which integrates book learning with knowing-it-in-your-hands. in class materials include various 
guides experiences, videos and the Maniken anatomy clay model.

HYDROTHERAPY AND SPA APPLICATIONS
Covers basic physiology of water treatments, applications of hot and cold, basic spa treatments such as scrubs, mud and herbal body
 wrap application.

SOMATIC ASSIMILATION AND EMOTIONAL EDUCATION
Examine, reflect and discuss your own and your classmates’ learning process and awareness.  Review  your touch history and 
integrate your experience at CIHCA.  Develop an emotional vocabulary and skills for overcoming destructive emotions and their side effects.  Explore psychological theories regarding the inner being and philosophy.
