Edward Maupin received his doctorate in psychology from the University of Michigan where his papers on Zen Buddhism were the first publications on meditation in academic psychology in America. He is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in body-oriented approaches to personal growth and has practiced the Rolf Method of Structural Integration since 1968. A resident of Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California from 1966-1970, he worked personally with such masters as Ida Rolf, Fritz Perls, Charlotte Selver, Mary Whitehouse, and others. He has studied Methods of the Arica Institute since 1970. Dr. Maupin is President Emeritus of IPSB, where continues to teach Somatic Psychology and Structural Integration.
